Hey all, Just wanted to put the word out that we have several very nice chinchilla singles and pairs available for adoption here in Michigan. We're working on a waiting list for surrenders, so until some of these guys find new homes, we cannot take any more in. Many of these chins are mutation colors. Our adoption fees are only $50.00 per chin (so it's $100 for a pair) and all of those funds go back to the rescue for supplies and vet care. We generally place locally only, however if you're out of state and are interested, please contact me and we'll talk. I've placed chins in Wisconsin, Massachussetts and Kentucky as well as northern Michigan. To see the chins we have available, please see our available for adoption page at www.secondchancechins.comThanks for reading this! Mya Second Chance Chins

I am in love with Picasso, Paisley and Chalupa. They are all beautiful. How many do you have in your rescue Mya? To answer your question....TOO MANY!!! We're working off a waiting list, but I made a commitment not to turn away chins from a public shelter (Humane Society/Animal Control) if they asked me to take them, and I have two I just took in from animal control, that are...you guessed it, male and female and living together and they have to be separated. I was already full when I took them.. To more accurately answer your question, I have two cages in foster homes (LinDan has one), 10 cages that are rescues here at my house, but there will be another cage here this weekend when I separate the male/female pair. I count by cages since those living together are placed together. I was TRYING to pare down a bit before summer...

Ahh Picasso! Samson! Why can't I be in Michigan...and have more money. Yeah, Samson is a big mush! What a cutie he is. Has the personality to match his cuteness too! Where are you located. If you're really interested, we might be able to work something out. I have had other rescues help out with transport before (that's how our Massachussetts person got her chin, through the assistance of ForCHINate Chins in Ohio).
