Hey, guys. I'm a new chin mommy and have a question. We currently have two females about 4-5 months old. Both are already bonded and get along well. Cuddling is their favorite thing to do. We are wanting to possibly get another pink/white female and a mosaic. Can they all live together? Or should we get one at a time? Any suggestions would be GREATly appreciated.

I had a bonded pair and tried to add a 3rd girl, didn't work out so well. In fact, it started my bonded pair bickering for a while. Tami ended up living alone for a year until I found another girl to pair with her, now I have 2 pairs. If you really want more, I suggest getting another already bonded pair and a second cage, that way you have NO work to do yourself and you don't risk Zoe & Lilly's bond.

What kind of cage do you have, I wouldnt have more then 2 maybe 3 to a FN cage. But I am all for new babies!! Maybe you can get another bonded pair and have 2 cages? I am no use on how to get them to bond, LOL, I have 4 chins, 4 cages!

I have a trio but they were all put together at the same time. That's the only way I would do it. I personally would not introduce a 3rd chin to an already established bonded pair as it can create too many issues. You could ultimately end up with 3 single chins instead of a trio.

I have four girls in one cage and had even added a 5th and they got along fine, then I got a baby and I was scared to put Her in with a "gang" so I took one of the more dominant girls out and put Her with the baby... I also have a bonded pair (they are older) who will never be caged with anyone else... IMO, if they are young enough, not dominant and in a "neutral" environment You might have a chance at them all getting along...

I say 2 bonded pairs too. Unfortunately, I only have boys and the only ones who live together are the twins.

I am new to the bonded female thing as well. I just bought two girls over the winter and they were already bonded. As far as bonding boys is concerned, it is a very hard thing to do. And I know that with my boys, I successfully introduced Boo to Gus and Scrat, for awhile, but then once Boo started to mature they all started fighting and now all four of my older boys are caged separately and have to play separately because they do not get along at all. I personally wouldn't risk the bond, but since they are still quite young you have a better chance... but it is still a chance... never a for sure thing.

You'd probably have the easiest time with two bonded pairs and keeping them in two seperate cages. It IS poosible to have them all together but a much harder thing to accomplish. But there is always a chance that down the road there would be power struggles. You'd have to have an awfully huge cage for 4 to get along comfortably together so why not just have two cages with two in each
