I was checking on one of the babies (Beanie) teeth and she is missing one of her bottom teeth. Also, it seems she isn't chewing on wood and her teeth are a little longer than normal. She also isn't a fan of apple wood or grape vine. She has tons of stuff to chew and she is eating and drinking normally.
What can i do to help her start chewing wood? And is she o.k. with missing one of her bottom teeth?

Wow, I have no clue what that means! It's best to wait for Dawn to get to this in the morning, I think, than to speculate...

More than likely it will grow back, but she should have her front incisors trimmed to the back teeth don't overgrow. The vet can do it without her being put under, if I was you, I would take her in for a trim.

Rosehips provide vit C, not calcium. A cuddlebone would work for it or a 1/4 tums once a day for a couple of weeks and see if there is any improvment. Get her incisors trimmed then after a few days she should start chewing wood again.

I read the whole article and practically sobbed when she didn't make it...and then to have her mate pass on...I couldn't take it! I'm gonna check Newton's teeth daily!! Does anyone have a good way to check them...he hates having me try to pull his gums back to check the color/alignment!

what i do to help check the color is i dangle something through the top of the cage bars so when they tilt their head up to try and eat it, i can sometimes see their teeth. see if that works for you!

I hold up an apple twig, so that they have to stretch up to bite it, gives me a good view without traumatizing them!
