Hi everyone. I need help! About a few days ago, for some reason, i checked my five chins to make sure they are still girls. I never thought of doing that when i purchased them. I know for a fact 1 of the 5 is a girl. She has an opening down there other than her bottom. The other 4 i have no clue. I have checked them and there is no opening down there at all. Can you always see there is an opening down there at anytime? I also tried to do a hair ring check on the 4 and nothing came out. I can't even locate balls on them either. So, today i took them in to my vet to make sure they are girls and she didn't seem to know what she was talking about. She said she saw "openings" on the 3 babies and not on Lulu. She told me that Lulu was a male. This didn't cause any issue because i assumed she knew what she talking about. Then i got in my car to go home. I didn't believe her and when i got home i checked them again and i do not see an "opening". I am very confused and have no idea what to do next. If you can help or send pictures that would be great. I have looked all over the internet and still confused.

You can sex them from birth, so age doesn't matter. From what you are describing it sounds like the one is a boy. What do you mean by opening? The link Sally gave has good pictures. Don't go by the slit if that is what you mean by opening. Look at the space of skin between the anus and the genital.
This is the best way I know how to describe a males sheath. It looks like the earthworm in the movie james and the giant peach, it tappers to a tip. Look at the adult male in the link how his sheath looks like the earthworm looking at you. The males penis will also move, the females cone will not.
A female will have a line going down her cone on the side closest to her anus. You can kind of see it in the baby female picture. It is opposite the anus.

O.k. i have pictures. I left the pictures kind of big so you can see. 1) This is Lulu. This is the one the vet thinks is a male. I couldn't get her to sit still. 2)This is Tulip. The vet thinks this one is a female. And from looking at what you said Bethany, I think Lulu is a boy. And i loved the movie James and the Giant Peach And thank you for the website Sally. I think now i can see what everything is more clearly

i think Lulu is a boy too! so maybe just Lou? lol the 2nd pic is hard for me to tell since i really have no experience with this.... it looks like it has the "line" like Bethany said so i think girl, but then it does look like theres skin in between there so then it would be a boy.... hmmmm..

I have not looked at alot of Parts Pictures but those look like girls to me, the boys even as babies have more of a space, JMO I could be wrong but I would say girls.

I think that they both look like girls too. It is kinda hard to tell in that first picture... but it doesn't look like the gap that my boys have. Let me go and take a picture of one of my four month old boys for comparison. I will post it in a second.

Thank you everyone! I have been so stressed out for 3 days and haven't slept either. I am not too worried about the babies but with Olive (she i know for sure is a girl) and Lulu i was scared of Olive getting pregnant. Babies scare me because i know nothing about them. I am still worried but i think i will just take it one day at a time
Are there other things that determine how you can tell it's a boy? well besides the obvious.
