Are you wiping down the pans under the liners, Tara? That truly makes all the difference. You can try it with the 50/50 vinegar & water mix, and that should work as well. I wipe my pans down every night.

I dont wipe them every night like you, but I change liners Weds and Sunday and wash the pans with vinegar and then wipe with water. I also vacuum every other day to get the poops out, Slippers I have to almost vac out everyday, he is a pooper

I was changing the liners and wiping down the pans every 3rd day, and I could still smell them every night. I had to go to changing liners every other night, and nightly wipe downs on the pans to keep the smell down. But it's working!

I cant change liners every other day here, I dont have a washer handy and I dont think I have that many liners to make it with 3 cages. I will get the cage cleaner stuff and see if that helps. I am sure it will help.

That is the one I use when I can't get the Nil Odor. It does a good job, I just think the Nil Odor does a tiny bit better.

I like the smell of Nil Odor better, makes me want to take a deep breath, like the Febreeze commercials.

You will really like the smell, Stacie. It's just such a CLEAN fresh smell!! That's the first thing I did when it came- smelled it! I'm one of those people that have to open all the laundry detergents in the store and smell before I buy them hehe..It does smell very fresh! Hopefully my chin room smells like that, too! (Wishful thinking? hehe)

So I figured out what the NilOdor reminds me of- PetSmart! All the Petsmarts I've been in smell like it.

I'm glad this was brought up I just went ahead and bought some myself.. my lovely boys pee on EVERYTHING... which includes all over their liner. They have a litter pan, and use that too, but no matter how often the pan is changed, they pee everywhere else

I found this online, but I'm not sure if its the right/safe kind. If it is, that would be great cause I can use it with all my other critters. Kara, do you think this would do the job? The price is great since its concentrate!! Product Description Nilodor Double-action concentrated cleaner and deodorizer is great for all washable surfaces. Use as little as 1/2 oz. to 2 oz. per gallon of water to clean and deodorize floors, walls, and gentle enough for fabrics, hand laundering and carpet cleaning. That sounds like the Kennel Wash they make, it's MUCH stronger. I have avoided that one, didn't want to have to worry about diluting it or anything. Here is a link to the one I use: www.chinchillas.com/estore/detail.aspx?ID=174
