I was wondering if I could use plywood to sperate a cage. The cage I had Thantos in is falling apart, I was hoping it would last until I get my taxes (around the 20th) when I'll be getting my FN cages for them.
If that won't work does anyone have any suggestion on how to sperate a Marshall cage? That won't take long to do being I don't know how much longer this cage will hold up.

I don't believe you can use plywood. It has to do with glues and stuff, as well as chemicals getting released if they pee on it, I think.

Nope, plywood does have icky glues which are not safe, and it splinters too easily. Get some thin KD pine, it's not that expensive.

LOL your talking about Canada here Kara...almost everything seems 2x as much here Don't get me wrong I love it here but sometimes the prices kill me. I have to look at where I grew up too because I grew up in Michigan the state with the lowest sales tax in it (only 6%).

I am in Canada too Marilynn, the prices are higher but, for what you need to do, you will only need 1 1X12X6 ...and it will be about 17 bucks give or take.

I didn't think it would be much...I'm going to home depot tomorrow night to pick up more wood for cages to make more things. Plus I have to get wood for my husband he is taking wood working classes so that he can learn to make more things for the chins.

The price of wood never seems that bad to me. It's the hardware that always costs a lot. I have to go to Home Depot on the weekend 'cause I want to make a bunch of new shelves.

I was gonna say PA is only 6 % and I think Delaware is also sales tax free.
Good luck in your search.

Home Depot is costly for the hardware. Flower Town is selling the whole set (screw, wing bolt, and 2 washers). Hubby knows the name of where they are getting them from but I can't remember it right now I'll get it to you. If they are selling it for 1.25 a set I'm going to bet you can get it for cheaper.

Have you seen my cages? I use a lot of hardware! Tons actually because I have such large cages with lots and lots of shelves. I probably get it cheaper than flowertown but it's due to the amount I use.

I went to Rona today and got my things because it was cheaper then Home Depot. I saved over 30 dollars on all the stuff I bought today.

I ordered mine online I desided to go for and get a hanger bolt driver for the drill and none of the local home centers even knew of them. But now that I've got the driver I have to use the same size hanger bolt and wing nuts evey time - so I just ordered eveything together. I've got hanger bolts to last me the rest of my life - but it didn't cost that much per piece.
