I just have to say, "things change." I never planned on having 5 chins all together and I never planned on 3 out of the 5 not getting along with a roommate. I am currently trying to buy back a nice cage with homemade wooden shelves that I sold this summer at a garage sale. I think the woman that bought it isn't using it. Moral of the story, never say never!

GAH! There are 2 males from this breeder that I really want to see. And I just got an email from the breeder....$250 for both. She's REALLY trying to help out here They were originally $175 for EACH...AND guess what I did? I wrote a 2 sheet paper on why 2 is better than 1; financially, bonding-wise, etc. for the b/f. And Dawn, you ARE a genius, I'll be sure to throw it in there that he can name one of them! ;D If he says yes, then a 2 level cage will be a definite

Ok, I have to show a picture of the 2 I'm looking at... How could anyone even THINK of separating these 2?

OMG you have to get them BOTH. Have you seen my soon to bee newbies? They remind me of my new boys. I could sweat that Thing Two is on the left and Thing One is on the right.
You HAVE to keep them together!!!! With babies you'll need 1/2 bar spacing so either a Critter Nation or get a smaller cage for now (they don't need the hight as babies), and switch to an FN later. Once their home and he falls in love with them he'll understand the need to the story cage when they gett bigger.
If you BF is like my hubby go for a smaller cage now and upgrade to the FN when they grow (I ease hubby into these things). I'm not sure but I think that litter mates are more likly to stay bonded. so if they are brothers you have a 2 is as good as one situation (or at lest tell you BF that's the case).
BTW where do you live and where are those sweetie pies coming from?

If we get 2 chins the 2 level FN is a part of the DEAL. ;D They do look like your Thing 1 and Thing 2 which are VERY cute also!

Wow, stunners. You won't be sorry to get both at the same time. Pip was my one and only for close to four years and then I took in a bonded pair Oscar and Max and I totally enjoyed watching them interact with each other and cuddle etc. Now Pip and Feeney are cage mates and they are even more lovey dovey than the Grey Boys.

Wow they are sooo cute!!!! Defately a good idea to get a bonded pair. Intros can be a nightmare and you never know if it will work out.
Best of luck!

I have two brothers from the same litter and they are now 3 years old. It's fun to watch twins cause they really do seem to have ESP together.

I have two bonded pairs in one level of the FN. We put a big shelf and some small ones and they love it. The cage they were in was no bigger then what they are in now. I put the wheel on the door, so it really doesn't take in any cage space. If I could give them a whole 2 story FN, I totally would though. With 16 chins in my rescue, well, space is an issue and the FN is just an awesome cage.

WAY cool!!! Those boys are just too cute. I like Hafina's hubby's quote: "Of course she is getting both, if she wasn't she'd be on the wrong site."
