Jackie has finally calmed down and got adjusted to our home and now she's eating A LOT!!!! I'm not sure if I'm feeding her too much but I give her maybe 3 tablespoons of pellets every morning and some nights I have to refill her bowl because she ate it all. Then when I wake up, I check her bowl and it'll be empty so I give her more. This is also combined with her hay I give in her manger that I have to refill maybe every 3 days. She is going to the bathroom just fine and drinking just fine. I haven't started weighing her even though I know I should. My question is am I feeding her too much? Also I give her oats as a treat and loves them so much that even the sound of opening the container makes her come running and jumping. (it's really cute like how my cats react to the can opener) I give her a pinch of oats and it's literally a pinch between my thumb and index finger a day as a treat. Is that also too much to give her?

Chins as a general rule, don't overeat on pellets. If she is a larger girl like my Patty, 3-4 tablespoons a day is normal, lol. Same with hay, she can have ALL the hay she wants. A tiny pinch of oats a day is perfect. It's a very small amount, and oats are a great choice for a treat. Also, it's a good way to check her appetite daily - if she refuses OATS, you know something is definitely wrong, lol. You can also add crushed rose hips mixed in with the oats, and that is even better for her, with the added vitamin C.
I'd be interested to know what she weighs!! And also what pellet you are using??

I was concerned because since I got her she didn't want to eat her pellets to the point that 2 tablespoons would last 3 days and I was afraid that I was feeding her too much. Lol. I haven't tried rose hips yet but will be interested to see how she'll act with them. The pellets I use were the same ones they give in store because I didn't want to change her diet considering her home changed. Now that she's adjusted, I may try other food that is better for her. I also just weighed her and she's 368 grams so she's a big girl. I believe she's about 4 months old but I'm not too certain.

I would start switching her diet. If its a bad food, you won't do her favors keeping her on it. What brand is it? Sounds like she's good on the weight department
