Hello, everyone,
I've been finding these little soft chuncks of fur, which appears to be from Ember because it's dark. I usually see fur where they sleep in the hammock or in their hut, but lately I've been seeing just little chunks in other places, and it happened again tonight. I picked her up and examined her the best I could with her wiggling, and her fur didn't come off when I was petting her. I know chinchillas shed to a certain point, and I am assuming this is normal, but just wanted to check.
Thanks

They do, but they get along so well. They sleep on top of each other and play so nicely. Should I be concerned?

I find fur in hammocks from my single chins. Does it look like fur slips? Keep an eye on them though. Do they have any squabbles?

Considering their age, I would assume they were squabbling to work out the pecking order. Just keep an eye on them until they decide who is going to be the boss.

My two girls never really fought to figure out their dominance issues, but we did have some over grooming... Peach used to chew Ellinee's whiskers OFF! But now my little Ellie is bigger than Peachy so it doesn't happen anymore. I wonder if it is just something like that.

Sally does that to Amy!! Amy tends to be bossy and obnoxious and when Sally has had enough, she chews Amy's whiskers down to teach her a lesson, lol.

Thanks everyone!
haha Misty is definitely in charge. She's the adventurous one, and whenever Ember has a stick or something she wants, she just comes by and steals it! So naughty. So I give Ember a bigger one.

If she gets too pushy with Ember, you can trim her whiskers down a bit and that will make her back off for a while. I did that once with Amy. Then Sally started doing it for me, lol.

If I can catch her! She still doesn't let me hold her more than 1 second. She's awesome though.
