How do you keep the liners, well, lining the bottom? The chinchillas run around so much that the corners all get lifted and there ends up a mess on the metal.

Maybe other people have better methods, but I put tiles in the corners of the pans, or for instance the food bowl in one corner, maybe their fleece bed in another, then tiles in the other 2 corners. I go to lowes and you can usually find the normal tiles and smaller ones , recently I just get a couple big tiles, then smaller tiles to anchor the liners

I do the same thing, Ellen: get tiles from Lowe's to anchor the sides. Dante insists on rearranging anyway, but it mostly works.

I use the litter box in one corner, have a low shelf or hay holder in another corner, and a tile for another corner. The shelf or hay holder doesn't necessarily hold the fleece down but it does stop them from pushing it around in that area.

I don't use fleece anymore. I stick with kiln dried pine shavings.

I just have heavy things on top of the liners - hutch, cooling tile, hay pot, litter pan, toy box, etc. MOSTLY helps, but they do get stupid every now and then and bunch it up anyway.
