I have noticed from a lot of others chin photo's they have fleece on the floor of their cages. Conan has a 4 floor cage. When he's napping of chilling out he's on the top floor. Is it better to have the fleece cover the floor? Should I just put some down on the top floor where he usually is? I'm new to the whole fleece in their cages. Thanks! Conan Kingdom.....Still adding ton of stuff!

Fleece is taking the place of shavings in most people's cages. If you have a wire bottomed cage with shavings underneath, you really don't need fleece in the cage. You can use it on top of the wire in some spots, to give him a soft place to rest his feeties, though. Or you can lay down some ceramic or marble tiles at intervals, or you can even put a thin piece of kd pine wood in some spots. So long as you give him a few places to rest his feet, he will be much happier in his cage. Standing on just wire all day can cause bumblefoot.

I'm not sure if you've posted elsewhere about your wheel, but I just noticed the wheel in the bottom of that pic. It's not recommended as it's a wire wheel and they can lose some toes with that.
Either the chin spin or the flying saucer is the way to go with wheels.

Thanks Kara for the info!!!!
Tanya the wheel in the pic came with him and his other owner said he never got on it. We got him a flying saucer and he's non stop running on it!! That pic was taking when we first go him home, so i was in the process taking all the bad stuff out. I still have more shelves and toys to add in.

I only have fleece on the very bottom of my cage, and the girls pee on the bottom. My fleece is two layers of fleece, with a layer of terry cloth in between, or quilt batting. If they peed on the wood shelves, I would probably put fleece on the shelves too, but so far no pee pee on the shelving, yay! I like it because instead of them sitting in shavings all week with a week's worth of poopies, I can take the liners out every other day and dump them in the trash. All the poops and hay gets tossed, and it looks so nice. When I used Carefresh, it was a pain in the butt, and seemed less sanitary, plus was EXPENSIVE. It's all up to the owners. I love my fleece liners.

Some chins just like to pee on shelves ( I have 2 shelf pee-ers lol). Putting fleece on them will promote the peeing. Bonus to the wood shelves, they get to chew them too

Rupert is the only one with fleece as bedding and that's b/c his cage is so big at the bottom and it take way too much shavings to fill it up, as well as he's an only chin so I don't mind dealing with the cleanup every other day. The Grey Boys' cage has an addition on top with an almost full floor and just little hole they can jump through to get to the bottom section so I have been putting fleece up there but they don't pee on it, only poop.

I made a bunch of the fleece liners because the bedding was so messy. I got a big fleece blanket at Goodwill for about $2.99 that made almost two full sets (bottom, middle and side). I also found at Ross Stores those "Snuggies" that were very popular last year that make about a set and a half for around $4.99. I also bought two fleece blankets at Big Lots for $5.99 each and they made one set each.
I like to leave the plastic trays in for stability so I quick-sewed tray covers for them. They open on the backside and the tray just slides in and is totally covered.
I roll them up almost every day and shake them out in the trash for poop and then bring them outside for the leftover hay that doesn't shake out in the trash. I find that if I put a piece of wood over the cut out, I can contain Handbag to the bottom level or top level depending on what part I'm cleaning.
Once a week I trade them out and pop the dirty ones in the washer.
