Also, sometimes you can find great deals on FN cages online on ebay. I purchased one of my FN's on ebay and I think it ended up being $30 cheaper than petsmart even after shipping... and it was a brand new one!

I went through quite a few different types of cages and even built my own once, but I ended up with Ferret Nations and I'm never going back! Those are seriously the best bang for your buck. www.ferret.com/item/ferret-nation-habitat-model-142/630503/Sometimes PetsMart will price match, if you print that out and bring it down there to them! It's worth a shot, anyway. You need to take the plastic shelves out and replace them with wood, but the doors on that cage make it worth the modifications. That is what we did. Not all price match but we lucked out with the second Petsmart I called. The shipping you would pay online is not worth it even with the tax at at Petsmart. Also I have covered the shelves with fleece and left them on there. I've seen some others do that too. So you have that option. You will definitely need metal pans though. The plastics ones are crap. Mine chewed a huge hole within three day while I was waiting for my friend to make me the metal ones. I know you can order them from that company but I can get them made for anybody too at my work. My friend did an awesome job and you can make the edge as high as you want. |

Thank you everyone! We are goin Friday to get her cage.
We've been discussing it and we are actually thinking we may want another chinchilla later on! I'm still tryin to get Bella to trust me. She's making great progress. I've been letting her do everything on her terms.
