What is the usual sleep time for a chin? I know that they tend to be awake in the early morning and late evening, but about what time is that? Now that I am home for the summer I am curious about how much he actually should and will sleep! (Note the shameless plug about being home for the summer!!!)

They are crepuscular, active at dawn and dusk. (as the sun comes up and as it sets) Most of my chins get up around 3 or 4 in the afternoon for a snack, though.

Mine are the same as Taras. They will get up and play if i'm down there during the day. Sometimes I can hear one of them givin-er on the wheel during the day, and whichever one is snoozing at night when i'm down I know that's the culprit.

Ham and Cheese are always awake when I get up at 5 am and then maybe an hour or so later they conk out. They get up periodically during the day for a run, a snack and what have you. I also usually bug them when I get home from work. Sometimes they sleep as late at 7 or 8 at night and then they'll be bouncing off the darn walls.

If I don't give them playtime the night before, they wake up earlier, like 3 p.m.
