What kind of travel carrier is recommended by the experts here on the board? I am going to need to get one!

I have a metal 2 hole carrier that I got from JP Chinchillas which is awesome but when I went to get Cedric I just used a basic small cat carrier from PetSmart. It had room for fleece and a chiller and some hay and he was fine. He slept most of the way. Here's a pic of one:

I have 2 three hole carriers from chins-to-go and the plastic ones above. If the chin was traveling for a long time I would do metal, short couple of hour trips where the chin can be watched the plastic is fine. Mine have chewed the plastic and made holes almost large enough to get out so the majority are in metal carriers now.

Like Dawn said, I use plastic for short trips and my metal carriers for long ones. I have a 4-hole and a 2-hole from Ryersons, but I wish I would have gotten JPChin carriers instead. I saw some at the show I went to and they seem to be made better. The latches on the Ryersons come open too easily.

Is there a website or any pictures? jpchinchillas.com/i like the multiple hole carriers bc you can carry all your chins in just 2 hands, instead of having to make a few trips in an emergency

I use a cat carrier for quickie trips. When finances allow, Kelly from Chins to Go makes these at a very reasonable price and I want to get some:

I love my JP chinchilla carriers. They are really sturdy. I like that the sides and back are solid metal with tiny air holes for ventilation. I think it makes the chins feel like they are hiding in a nice enclosed den. They always seem very calm inside.

I use a cat carrier for quickie trips. When finances allow, Kelly from Chins to Go makes these at a very reasonable price and I want to get some: I have that three whole carrier from them, it is more spacious than the JP or Ryersons carriers, I use them every day for years now with no issues. I made a fleece cover to cover the top and sides with a attachable front cover for when its rainey or windy.
