so instead of making a bunch of different posts I thought I would just put all my questions in here.

1. Can you give a chinchilla a store bought loofah like the one's from Walmart by the body washes.

2. Can you give them a pumice stone to chew on?

3. which is the quietest wheel the chin spin or the flying saucer

4. when you use the fleece liner do you need a separate litter pan in the cage for them to pee in or do they just do their business all over it?

I would not give store bought loofa, but I dont know much about it

Yes they can have pumice stone, as long as it is the right kind, but because again I suck I cant recall which color is better

I think my Saucer is better, but I need to see your cage to see if a CS or Flyer would be better

You do not need a sep litter pan, that is a personal choice

I would say no.

Yes, they can have pumice but make sure it is safe.

3. which is the quietest wheel the chin spin or the flying saucer
I think people mostly voted the Chin Spin.

4. when you use the fleece liner do you need a separate litter pan in the cage for them to pee in or do they just do their business all over it?
Some people use a metal or glass pan with some shavings in it in a corner. Mostly chins will do as they please so whether they will actually go in it or not is another story. Expect poo everywhere. LOL!

The store bought luffah for body wash are bleached so you don't want them for the chins.

The pumice stones, you want the hard ones, not the soft powdery type that crumbles easily.

What ever wheel you can afford and have space for in the cage.

Some people use litter pans, some don't.

I don't use a pan with my fleece liners.

In general use only things that are made for animal consumption, example-lots of people used the grape vine wreaths from craft stores-any wood product items from china are gassed to kill bugs and one chin was reported to have died from having one. Pet store stuff may not be safe either, Pet store companies seem to think if you put a chin on the package its safe, better to ask first than waste the money, HTH!

As for the wheel and the litter pans. I think that you have to try on your own before you have an idea what is best. You will get so many different opinions here so you can see what your chin(s) like best.

Some chins and people love the flying saucer and others love the chin spin. I only have a chin spin but want to get a flying saucer just to try it.

I tried to use a glass pyrex pan but Hera wouldn't use it at all! The other chins are no shavings and use a corner so that's fine by me.

I get my loofah at a bird supply site. I wouldn't trust the kind in the bath section.

I would buy the lava bites and the lava ledges as they are made specifically for animals. You can also buy loofah like toys in the rabbit section of the pet store. I've never had a litter pan for my boys. I use fleece and change it every 3 days.

i use liners with all my girls and each of them have a litter pan in their cage as well with shavings in it. i'll have to admit, before the littler pans, i'd for SURE have to change my liners weekly (if not every few days) b/c you could start to smell it. but now that i have litter pans, all the chins use them and hardly EVER pee on the liner itself. it makes it easier to just dump litter pans every few days instead of swapping out the whole liner.
I still change my liners weekly, but i could go longer if i wanted to bc they dont smell at all
