I used to tease Sally, "Run away from Mama and then I can't get you." Mine never bother doing that anymore, if my hand is in the cage they are out the door!

I have wheels in the playpens, they always think that is the way away from Mom when she says time to go back!

Aww, I love it when they do that!
BTW, she has done well so far. I still haven't tried it with her in the room, though.

My chins are not the least bit afraid of the vacuum. The show no fear when I am near their cages. I have even used the attachment to clean up the poopies and they come running up to it out of curiosity to see what is in their house.

The other day I had the shop vac out and the fan was blowing out the side right at Specter. She was just standing there letting the breeze ruffle her fur, I swear she was posing like a supermodel with those windswept shots!

My chins are o.k. with the vacuum. I usually do it when they are tired from playing and i just put them back into their cages. i also try to talk to them while i vacuum to show it's o.k. and there is nothing to be scared of

I used to have nightmares about sucking up my chinchillas in the vacuum but then I came to my senses and realized their butts are WAY too big to ever suck up. Mine don't seem to mind it though and know it's a great opportunity for them to get afternoon playtime b/c as soon as the vacuum fires up... they all run out of their cages and play around the room.
