You'll need to weigh over time, and to be honest, weight gain with pregnant chins is really hit or miss. It will be different if they're having singles, twins, or trips, and will be different with each chin... Some chins gain hardly any weight at all, I had one mom who only gained about 60g and gave birth to a healthy 42g kit!
Also, as you said, it could just be that she's on a better diet. 33g in 10 days could be either, really. Or both!
I weigh everyone weekly, and once a month make line graphs so I can see weight trends. I know, I know, I'm a big nerd, but it puts my mind at ease about some things. =)

You shouldn't need to move her whole cage if she's in the same room or something, but if they were in the same cage, I would separate them. Mom will have enough stress with babies, trying to keep a second, curious (even angry) female away is just more work!
No worries, Cai, if Sandy is pregnant, we will get you ready!
For now, just keep taking her weight every week. Do a nipple check, too. Once she gets the long, needly nipples, we'll go from there. =)

Another way to check for nipples, not always successful but worth trying is to watch her while she's drinking from the water bottle. Depending on how high you set the water bottle, if she's standing up to drink from the bottle, you can look down right under the arms and if the nipples are elongated then you may be able to see them poking out.

i don't know much about pregnancy, but i read that when a female does get pregnant her stomach will get harder, so be careful in case she is, you don't want her to lose the kits. i've always read that some people can feel the kits moving during the last few weeks of the pregnancy. good luck. oh and if she does have kits, i've read that putting apple juice in her water bottle (1/2 and 1/2 not pure) will help her them to produce more milk for the kits. but again, i'm not a pro at this.

I want nothing to do with Babies, or the possible hardships that come with it, nor do I hae time to hand feed babies that the mom rejects, ect. I love babies, but I can admire from afar!

Ditto for me too. When I found out that chin and rabbit breeders regularly cull the litters, I was shocked. And I just adopted a small kitten that my dog found and keep talking about how cute and funny he is. My friend is amazed I've never had a kitten that small but I always adopt the older ones that no one wants.
To make a long story short, we're here to help you and glad there are sensible people out there that realize having babies is not the best thing to do in the world.

Babies are too dumb for me, LOL. I baby sat 3 week old kits for two weeks and that was enough to know it was not my thing.
