You nailed it Ellen. That's exactly what I saw. I actually ran to get the camera because I thought it was so cute he was sitting like a vulture. Little did I know... "How cute! .....wait...." My cockatiel Peaches used to do this "dance" on his perch, back when he thought he was a girl. After we got Sweetie we learned that he for one, was a boy, and that his "hula dance" was not what we thought You think it's awkward with little pets... Gorillas at the zoo. "Oh look, he's hugging her! ....wait... " then the adults all burst into laughter. ... sorry, I didn't mean to ramble off on my awkward animal viewings

Haha! Oh Annie! Mr Tibbs was pleasuring Mr Happy?! Hee hee! Sorry that you didn't know about that. The first time I saw Milo do that I was totally disgusted and embarrassed, but he seemed to out-grow it and I never see him doing it anymore. When Oliver reached the same age, he started doing it too. So I guess they go through a "chin puberty". He may out-grow it. Or he may just be a perv.... um, I mean, uh... a sexually healthy male... Dan on the other hand was impressed that they can not only do that, but that they are so well-endowed for their size.

Omg Annie! Why did you not tell me the other night when we were on the phone? Probably because you knew I'd bust up laughing. I have three girls. In three years, I've never been sprayed. Shelly and I are devoted to each other. She's my little princess. Artemis is devoted to Button. Button is devoted to her food. I'll warn you about poop eating. When you see your chin bend over, look like their grooming, and come up chewing something. They are eating their own poop. A friend of mine calls it "fresh out of the oven". I was not warned about that and was totally grossed out.

So do all the females eventually spray? My female (which I was told was a male) is 6 months old and except for peeing on my foot, leg oh and head once...lol has never sprayed. And as for the females not being lovable mine loves to cuddle but that may be because I had to hand feed for about a month. And when playtime is over (and she knows when it is cause she gets a treat after) she does the cutest thing. When I stand up she will run over to me and stand on her hind leg and it literally looks like a child that wants to be picked up and I put my hand down there and she hops in sweetest thing ever

She's bonded to you because she's a single chin. All females CAN spray, but it's usually only the ones with attitude issues that do it. Amy does it the most in my herd, and usually when she's gotten something she shouldn't have and I take it away. She gets ticked and tries to spray me. Congrats on the peeing thing, she was marking YOU as HER territory, lol.

I've only had girls. None of mine were ever sprayers. Keara runs around barking at me if she gets mad. She loves scratches, but she's not the most lovable chin. Seren was my sweet, lovable chin. She never sprayed either.

Sebastian is always pleasing his "Mr. Happy." I bet I know some men who wish they could have that talent!
